The ability to use standard files is an improvement over typical office firesafes.

The file drawer will not accept standard support racks for hanging files, but the company offered free support bars, if you order them. Be sure to get them, as you may otherwise regret it later.

Security (other than fire) is not a high point. The box appears to be essentially gypsum between two plastic boxes. The only steel is the drawers themselves and the glides. Although the drawers lock, it wouild be easier for someone to break into this than into a locking, all-steel filing cabinet, but at 175 lbs or so empty, it would be hard to walk off with it.

On balance, I would re4commend it as cost effective storage of important files and computer media.
