Tech Craft SWP48 Avalon Series 48 Wide Credenza Wood TV Stand

Very Disappointed

Received first one with broken leg and other broken parts. Received second one with two broken legs on both side panels. Unfortunately there appears to be a issue with product quality. And the packaging is very messy and inadequate. Returned for refund.

Decent, but poor packaging

Strengths: Good looking furniture and pretty sturdy. Not hard to put together

Weakness: Packaging caused two separate shipments to be damaged.

Fortunately my seller replaced the first one easily and I just lived with the 2nd slightly damaged piece. The end pieces showed substantial rub marks despite being packaged on the very inside of the box. Not a terrible stand for the price though... just buy some touch up stain.

Very Poor packaging

Strengths: Looks nice from far away.

The top of the table is facing the outside of the box. The way they package this thing makes this even worse. The top of the table is facing the outside of the box. So any dent hits the most important surface.They should have flipped it the other way so any dent would hit the bottom of the table where you can't see. Also the foam and packaging material is really cheap and easy to break through.

Great looking TV stand – Good Price

Strengths: Cost, style, appearance, and functionality

Weakness: Instructions are somewhat "abstract". Poor packaging for shipping. Recommend going to the store and picking it up yourself.

Once I got it all assembled, I am pleased with the product. It has clean lines, great wood grain and color. It really looks like furniture you would purchase from a furniture store. Once I got it all assembled, I am pleased with the product.

It has clean lines, great wood grain and color. It really looks like furniture you would purchase from a furniture store. I've put 2 coats of Old English furniture polish on it already :) and I am very pleased.

I found the installation instructions a little "abstract" at first, but once I got out all the parts and matched them up with the pictures, the concept come together. I would recommend that you DO NOT use a power screwdriver tool, due to the screws are pretty soft and may cause stripping the screw heads—all are Philips screws.

I found no damages but that could be because I went to the Circuit City store and picked it up myself, rather than it being shipped via ground shipping to me. The outer cardboard box it comes in is not heavy enough for something that weights nearly 100 pounds. The box is too flimsy to take much rough handling. I can see if it has to endure much handling in shipping, the outer cardboard could weaken and become mashed.

It took me between 1 and 1.5 hrs to assemble, but I took a few breaks in between.

Based on the cost and it's style, appearance, and functionality; I would definitely recommend it to others and would consider purchasing similar pieces from Tech Craft.

Earlier, I was so disapointed at the quality, poor design, and clunkiness of other stands out there that I wall mounted the TV, at a cost of $150. Hiding the cables was a challenge. This product is the perfect solution for us.
